The Toyota Alphard and Vellfire are Japan’s best-selling full-size minivans, and their appeal extends beyond the domestic market. Pakistani automaker Nora EV has now introduced a zero-emission model that borrows their visual character while using a subcompact footprint.
Although the Nora EV Metro does not wear a Toyota badge, its design combines cues from the Alphard and Vellfire. The headlights are more basic, but the large grille and chrome-trimmed vertical intakes give the front end a distinctly Toyota-like appearance.
Similar influences appear along the sides and at the rear, which features a vertical tailgate, roof spoiler, and triangular taillights. Unlike the Alphard and Vellfire, however, the Metro has conventional hinged rear doors instead of power-sliding ones.

The Metro’s dimensions are considerably smaller than those of Toyota’s full-size vans. It measures 3,900 mm (153.5 inches) long, making it shorter than some European subcompact hatchbacks, and rides on 14-inch alloy wheels more commonly associated with kei cars.
Inside, the five-seat Metro attempts to disguise its low-cost origins with premium-inspired styling and color combinations. Its dashboard resembles a Mercedes Hyperscreen at first glance, but the broad panel is plastic and houses a relatively modest central infotainment display. Features include Bluetooth, a USB port, push-button start, air conditioning, power windows, and a reverse camera.
The vehicle’s underlying chassis comes from China, though Nora EV says it has been re-engineered for South Asian road conditions and adjusted to provide better ergonomics for taller occupants.

A single electric motor mounted at the rear produces 4,000 Watts, equivalent to just 5 hp (4 kW). Buyers can choose among 9-kWh, 15-kWh, and 23.1-kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery packs. The largest battery is claimed to provide 250-300 km (155-186 miles) of range.
Nora EV also intends to establish a battery-swapping network in Pakistan for drivers who want to avoid charging delays or range concerns. The Metro will additionally be available with a range extender consisting of a 3 lt (0.8 gallon) gasoline tank and a compact generator, which is said to add 150-180 km (93-112 miles) of range.
Nora EV’s Other Models and Pricing
Nousheen Azhar and Ali Raza founded Nora EV in 2025. Rather than simply assembling imported knockdown kits, the Pakistani company is developing local production for components including body stampings and lighting assemblies.
Alongside its Toyota-inspired minivan, Nora EV sells the E30, a small electric SUV modeled after the previous-generation Range Rover, and the Neo urban hatchback. The E30 is currently the only model on sale, starting at 1,889,000 Pakistani Rupee ($6,800) before GST. Nora EV says the Metro will arrive soon with a starting price below 3,000,000 Pakistani Rupee ($10,800).
H/T to Creative Trend

The Nora EV Metro brings Toyota Alphard and Vellfire-inspired styling to a 3,900-mm Pakistani MPV with seating for five. Its rear-mounted motor produces just 5 hp, while battery choices range from 9 kWh to 23.1 kWh. An optional gasoline range extender and planned battery-swapping network address longer journeys. Pricing is expected to start below $10,800 when sales begin.
